@thomasfuchs We have a standing ventilator with a "quiet" mode on the selector dial that is specifically marketed for sleep time, the indicator for that mode is… a bright blue light
@thomasfuchs I bought some of these “LightDims” years ago & they’re great for this on most devices, although your button might be too 3D for them… 🤔
the website & marketing are terrible, but the product’s been good 🙃
@itgrrl @thomasfuchs +1! This is what we have for the same air filter, whose lights (even when explicitly turned off) won't actually always stay off. They're great for the random little lights around the bedroom.
@paulmcaleer @itgrrl I have those too, though during the day I actually want to see what it's set to.
The book takes like like one second to put on, plus it's super funny given what Weizenbaum writes about.
@thomasfuchs I have that same purifier, and I do the same thing! (I use a glasses case). Things that go in bedrooms should not have always on lights!
@thomasfuchs I lied. Just the one button. Hold down the ionizer button for 3 secs.

@thomasfuchs oh! I have that model. You can turn off the lights.
Instructions are actually on the top… you hold down two of the buttons and they’ll turn off.
