I think the future of human employment will be focused on fact checkers/researchers whose sole job will be to unfuck all of the misinformation that AI shits out.

@Alice also therapy-style roles that can safely reintegrate the cultists back into "polite society."
@Alice In like 250 years; we're screwed long-term.
@Alice Apparently there already developers putting "AI slop fixer" on their resume.
@Alice factoring in Brandolini's Law, sounds like an exercise in futility.
@Alice @pattykimura It’s so optimistic to think that humans will still have jobs.
@michaelgemar @pattykimura I'm literally saying it will be the last job for humans.
@Alice @pattykimura Ah, well I guess that rules me out for one of those fact-checking positions…
@Alice I think care work might make a big move
@Alice I’m already looking forward to re-skeeting this when it shows up on Bluesky in 7 years.
@Alice
An admin in my graduate program asked us for ideas on "how to prepare everyone for AI", particularly for careers in industry and implying inevitable universal adoption.
Fortunately some of us had a lot to say against AI, and how the best way to "prepare" us is to help us be the ones whom organizations hire because they're smart enough *not* to cling to AI.
I would hope I'll be hired in a "We Fix $3 Haircuts" way like that, rather than cleaning up slop...
@Alice I would be so good at this. I'm not very motivated by people being wrong on the Internet, but I'm very motivated by being payed enough to afford food & water. I could do it as a job.
@Alice
I love the optimism in your post!
@Alice I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
@Alice it’s a job I could do, but definitely don’t want to do. It’d be soul-destroying.
@Alice The 'cleanup a bunch of moron's dumbing fucking messes' industry will be booming in many sectors here in a couple more years.
