If I was running a paid for hosted email platform, I would expect my customers to expect that an email that matches the following kind of pattern would be readily identified as spam:
Subject:
“FedEx Delivery”
FROM address:
fedexdelivery@[very-much-not-a-fedex-domain]
Why?
- because FedEx is a very big global brand
- because FedEx has well known domains
The platform I’ve currently paid for is *incapable* of such triage :/
