Today I'm presenting at the annual meeting of prehistory and protohistory in Genoa, with a paper about Iron age fire structures in Western Liguria (Diano Marina in particular) and their relationship with extraction of marine resources along the Tyrrhenian coast, particularly salt.
We have:
- new radiocarbon dates 750-400 BCE
- geochemical results about geogenic vs pyrogenic calcite,
- pollen and charcoal showing how the environment changed in reaction to human activity and after abandonment

@paregorios it's a little early to associate it with Lucus Bormani and the remains are a few hundred meters further from the main area of Roman findings. But it's there!
