Looking for advice on crafting a keynote address.
Many years ago Aimee Morrison had a blog post (or was it a Twitter thread?) with as I recall great ideas that I think I would do well to follow, but no trace remains. Such is life. One thing in her piece was about pacing & using blank slides (which when I'm switched on I sometimes use in my day to day work.)
(Related note, I miss #dh blogging).
@electricarchaeo I saw the tip about blank slides somewhere and I've used it a few times. However, for Zoom presentations what I realized is that a blank slide is interpreted as tech failure, so I've started adding a subtle ellipsis or something on them now!
@herrprofdr @electricarchaeo I once had a slide with “This slide intentionally left blank” on it. There was a smattering of giggles.
