In Lyttleton - helping load for an icebreaker trip south. I gotta stay home - someone has to write endless proposals. But Jasmin from our group is more than capable.

Its the Korean Araon. A fancy beast way bigger than ships im normally on. Plus It was great to catch up with colleagues from all over.

Araon has just returned from the Amundsen Sea and now heads due south into the Ross where our instruments are (hopefully) patiently waiting. #climate #antarctica #oceanography
