A Japanese-American family returning to their vandalized home in Seattle, Washington, on May 10, 1945, after being released from an internment camp in Hunt, Idaho...

The family's home and garage are spray-painted with anti-Japanese graffiti, including the phrase "NO JAPS WANTED".

Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, over 120,000 Japanese Americans were forcibly relocated to incarceration camps based solely on race, despite most being U.S. citizens.
