@tante I think this highlights a dimension we could perhaps learn from:
Why is the more productive and more sustainable variant feeling *worse* and more like drudgery? The "overhead"/"boiler plate" effort sucks so much that even if slower/lower quality, I'm happier if something else does it?
Maybe something needs fixing in the tech stacks.
