How can one not love Excel /s

The worst is, that Excel looses the original content. Changing the cell format doesn't bring back the original ISBN 🤮

@realn2s have you tried using the 0 number format? Excel can handle up to 15 significant digits.

Not sure what you mean. This is after a csv import. I had to redo the import and specify text format

@realn2s in that case try changing the data type for that specific column.

That only works while importing. After the import Excel seems to use an internal number representation which isn't convertible to ISBN
