You may have heard that, after England blocked certain Israeli tourists from attending a soccer match, it was found that the intelligence report used as the basis of this decision had LLM hallucinations in it: https://www.theverge.com/news/861668/uk-police-microsoft-copilot-error-mistake

Now the City of Amsterdam is hopping mad because the British police said they also based the decision on intelligence provided by the Amsterdam police after a soccer match that devolved into street violence here. Amsterdam insists they absolutely did not provide confidential intelligence on Israeli tourists to the British police. https://www.at5.nl/artikelen/236951/halsema-maccabi-engeland-politie-amsterdam

So I suppose the question is, did their LLM *hallucinate* the Amsterdam police as a source, or did someone knowingly lie to cover up LLM usage and didn’t think Amsterdam would call them out?
