@everton137 fuck I hate this timeline so much. As an American in Berlin whos only family is still in the US this is so awful
@liaizon I am sorry for your pain. I asked until recently for some Americans in Berlin how they felt on what is happening to the US, but they didn't seem worried (yet).
I had to stay far from my family during the pandemic, so I understand how difficult it can be. I didn't mean Americans trying to unify to their dearest ones, of course.
@everton137 I went and visited my father this last year for the first time in like 4 years. I was hoping it would be more often but the way this is moving it seems it's gonna get harder and harder to travel back and forth.
@liaizon Being an immigrant is tough. In 2018, a far-right politician won the Brazilian election. Then, a pandemic hit, and he deliberately tried to kill people and mocked who died. I feared I would never see my parents again. I wish you strength.
@everton137 I have it easy in comparison to the vast majority, I know the privilege I have here. I wish for a better world. These borders between us are truly evil
