Ninety days notice was not enough time to process losing our home of eight years. Never mind the sorting of stuff, the giving away & packing of things and the cancelling of plans for the months ahead because suddenly, the next days, weeks and months are hazy and uncertain. With that one phone call or letter, life goes on hold."

"I have had over forty homes in my life. Many I hadn’t wanted to leave. I’m tired. If I could choose, it would not be to spend my limited energy on moving. Ironically, since I was very young, I have carried the same image of the home I wanted. I carry it in me but the cost of being disabled, being multiply neurodivergent, has had a debilitating impact on my financial stability. I am a bad capitalist."
