@mattblaze I used to have to commute on it back in the 90s when most of it was only two lanes. I got caught in traffic once in the evening due to an accident and watched most of a lunar eclipse while I waited. It was a great place to watch a lunar eclipse, but a terrible place for rush hour.
@mattblaze Great photo, I really enjoy seeing these and reading the narratives. Seeing these feels like getting a postcard, in a way.
Question: Do you shoot mostly black and white, or do you dabble in the color spectrum as well?
Captured with the Rodenstock 40mm/4.0 Digaron-W lens, Phase One IQ4-150 back, a small amount of vertical shift.
The San Mateo Bridge, spanning the San Francisco Bay just south of SFO Airport, is relatively unremarkable except for its seemingly endless length. Occasionally known locally as the "S&M Bridge" for its often painful traffic congestion, looked at from the right distance, it can appear rather serine.
@mattblaze I remember the bad old days when the endless eastern (trestle) section was only two lanes in each direction. Fortunately, my family on rarely used it.
