That has got to be tough. I'm glad your kids have a mom who is healing her trauma though. It makes a world of difference for your kids.
@farah i know you're not alone. i have a friend whose child's experience in youth is looking a lot like his, with an extra helping of transphobia to boot.
@farah I feel this, although my thing is that my dad is really just not present? But I should count how many times a day I do something really boring but think "why didn't my dad do this with me"
