That has got to be tough. I'm glad your kids have a mom who is healing her trauma though. It makes a world of difference for your kids.
@farah i know you're not alone. i have a friend whose child's experience in youth is looking a lot like his, with an extra helping of transphobia to boot.
@farah I feel this, although my thing is that my dad is really just not present? But I should count how many times a day I do something really boring but think "why didn't my dad do this with me"

My kid is at that age (6.5) when my first abuse started. Beaten and sent to sleep somewhere other than my bed, because I lied. And that lie didn’t even matter in the end
@farah I can only imagine. Seems like you're ahead of the game just by realizing this fact, though. Hugs to you!
