Thought there couldn't be a more annoying word but just discovered the word/portmanteau(wordmanteau?).... Webccaison. Throw me in the ocean and be done with it. I long to be among the sea creatures where I belong.

@TheBreadmonkey An old boss of mine used to call them a "webinair"
@TheBreadmonkey do you prefer gophernar or ftpnar?
@TheBreadmonkey I still haven't got over "window of opportunity".
I'm irrationally disturbed by 'vacay', 'staycation' and their British cousin, the 'holibobs'. A slapping like Batman gives Robin is called for in each case.
@GracelessHippo @anne_twain @TheBreadmonkey
"Utilize" will always make me see red. The word you're looking for is "use", Steve, and adding two syllables makes you sound like a tool, not smart.
"Sammy" for sandwich -- mostly gone, thank fuck -- was another.
I've never heard holibobs, and it doesn't make a lick of sense to me, but that's not unusual for many Britishisms. I get the "holi" prefix, but why bobs?
@cthulku @GracelessHippo @anne_twain @TheBreadmonkey What unnatural fuckery. Everyone knows "sandwich" abbreviates to "sarnie".
@woe2you @cthulku What country/area of country? 😊 @GracelessHippo @anne_twain @TheBreadmonkey
@CStamp @cthulku @GracelessHippo @anne_twain @TheBreadmonkey Fair point, I can't speak for anyone outside of the UK but I'm pretty sure it's national rather than regional.
@GracelessHippo @anne_twain @TheBreadmonkey
"Holibobs" gets me Hulk smashy.
@davep @GracelessHippo @anne_twain @TheBreadmonkey To any journalists reading this thread: a "staycation" does not mean travelling hundreds of miles in your own country to stay somewhere. It literally means STAYING AT HOME.
*deep breath*
Sorry, got a bit riled up there.
@greem @davep @GracelessHippo @anne_twain @TheBreadmonkey May I add "telling bone" (UK) to the list?
@anarchic_teapot @greem @davep @GracelessHippo @anne_twain
What does this mean?
@TheBreadmonkey
Have you tried saying it like a pirate?
"It be a web-in-arrrrr"

Have you exploded yet?

This feels more like a probbortunity than an opplem.
@TheBreadmonkey They lost me at webinar.
@TheBreadmonkey We'll have you swimming with the fishes shortly; I know a guy.
@TheBreadmonkey I can't work out what it's supposed to be.
Web occasion I assume. Like an event that's being streamed.
@TheBreadmonkey Oh. Yep that's terrible. I couldn't work it out because the i is before the s
@TheBreadmonkey wait until you hear about "Explanimations"
@TheBreadmonkey Enjoy your vacocean Crustbencean
@TheBreadmonkey I harbour an intense dislike for the word 'dislike'.
@TheBreadmonkey You can’t have bcc all together in the middle of a word like that, it’s wrong.
@Nickiquote I find this whole discussion very infotaining.
