spending a long time in a phone queue to speak to NHS, emailed me details of an upcoming appointment but totally failed to say what it is for, which is fairly basic info I need to know during this very trying time. Frustrating.
fairly certain it will be to discuss findings from upcoming second scans & treatment options, but I need to actually *know* in case there's more I need to prepare for.
After waiting on the phone for ages, talked to very nice person who confirmed that as I suspected, it will be to discuss upcoming scan results and treatment options.
I strongly suspected it would be, given timing, but had to know in case it was more involved (ie being kept in versus day visit). Frustrating to have to chase for info, but frankly given what is going on that's small change right now.
@LordWoolamaloo It's not just you: this is standard procedure for NHS Scotland (send appointment letters, but not saying what they're for). In case the letter falls into the wrong hands, I guess? (I've had some frustrating run-ins with this over the past year.)
@cstross This was an e-letter, sent over weekend, but of course the number on it can only be phoned during the week. Sorted now, was what I thought it would be, given the timing is a week or so after next scans, but kind of nice to know for sure
