@cykonot i was not informed about what death grips was like. that was an incredible experience
@cykonot i was just constantly awestruck at their mixing process throughout. they keep time with that extremely discordant bass/pad line with lots of white noise harmonics right around the human vocal range. but they are evidently very skilled because the vocal track remained shockingly clear to distinguish from the other mid range activity and it allowed them to really delve into the wording over time
@cykonot that's one thing i like about trance when it's good is how patient you're allowed to be when you elaborate upon a theme. "i am the beast i worship" is a crazy fucking line
