@NunavutBirder And how did you solve that? I love learning about living at low temperatures!
@saarmuller For the most part they eventually give in. The youngest of the three is most prone to going inside although that’s rare now. They eventually, grudgingly, stay out to do their visit. I feel for them as they look so miserable when they come in. Especially their feet.
@NunavutBirder As a female who loved winter sports I feel for them too. But as the coldest was about -10 Celsius (OK, a lot lower considering the chill factor) I can not really imagine how -40 would feel.
@saarmuller after -35 it all feels the same.
@NunavutBirder I did my PhD in solid state physics, working with liquid nitrogen and liquid helium to cool my silicon samples Perhaps that made me curious about extremely low temperatures.
@saarmuller now that’s cold. And very cool as well.
I guess pee pads are out of the question.
@NunavutBirder
I can't say I blame them for not wanting to pee outside.
