Sometimes I believe in movies playing with genre and surprising me, and sometimes I believe in movies being clearly labeled. Namely, I want sports movies to be labeled.
A Knight’s Tale (2001) is a sports movie (and it is fine.) Blood and Sand (1941) is a sports movie (and it is a yawnfest.) Do not let the presence of swords in a movie convince you it cannot be about sports! Conversely, remember that despite lack of swords, The Natural (1984) is about King Arthur. Hope that’s all clear.

@faerye Another good one: Outland (1981) with Francis Sternhagen and Sean Connery is officially scifi but let's get real, it's a Western, in the best way.
Then again, a lot of scifi are westerns.
