"Decades of collective work proving that “open source” is not less but at least as secure as commercial offerings now slowly going down the drain. Because a bunch of men – and it is always all men – just don’t want to be responsible for their actions. Which is fine if you are 5. But after 18 it gets old really fucking fast."

@tante Any AI dev meeting should have a point of order, "RDM implementation" – "What's that, then?" – "Oh, it's the responsibility diffusion module." – "Sounds wonky. What does it do?" – "Never mind what it does. Investors already love it!" – "Sold!"

@tante In German, any "of"-construction with Genitive case can be a compound. For example, " #Verantwortungsdiffusion" – and I think, it's a pity that's necessary.

@tante

The phrase “AI slop” is a fundamental part of this deflection — it implies that the problem is the AI, and not the sloppiness of the person putting the slop out for others to use.

"OpenClaw is still very popular among a group of men who want to use it to run their life and sure. As long as you know very little about IT, security or risk that surely is a good idea."
it's sadly popular among people who should be knowledgeable and were until they drank the coolaid

Constant deflection. AI promises untold riches, AI delivers a good deal of crap. But it's never AI's fault, see. The users were wrong. Lest we offend poor little AI and poor little billion dollar companies.
