Good faith dialogue.
This is the vast majority of what my interactions on Mastodon entail. Yes, there are the few snipers and trolls that migrated over from Twitter, but they are still quite rare.
Mostly I value the genuine desire to engage. And when it's absent, it's a lot easier to spot here because it's not the norm.

I spent quite a bit of time on BlueSky for several months and found that if you’re a nobody there is close to no engagement. If you’re a somebody, the platform laps it up.
But on Mastodon the conversation flows irrespective of who you are.
