Fedi hive mind ext4 filesystem question.

I read, "A Linux partition doesn't need to be defragmented at all. Because Linux has been built to prevent fragmentation: only insignificant fragmentation can arise, as long as the partition has more than 20% of free space."

I was unaware of the requisite free space necessary to prevent fragmentation.

20% seems like a lot.

Is 20% true for both HDD & SSD partitions?

Thoughts?
