my tin foil hat conspiracy theory is that the dress was actually psy-ops to see how easy it would be to divide people and get them polarized

and as someone else said... then the Cubs won the World Series opening up a rift in the space time continuum that dumped us out on this time line from the 7th ring of hell...

We entered the "Idiocracy but worse" timeline when people began unironically wearing Crocs.
