When my 18 year old was very little, if I ever dropped peas on the floor and said to her oh no I've pea'd on the floor, she would laugh hysterically at this extremely funny joke. However now she just calls me a twat. 馃憤

@TheBreadmonkey As a mom, my boys have never found me funny. So I just keep trying.

@TheBreadmonkey
I work with preschoolers and often that is the first pun that they ever understand.

Because they first think ee and then they actually look on the floor and see ea

And the look on their faces as they鈥檙e processing that is priceless

@TheBreadmonkey I was trying to work in a vegetable pun where the 18 y/o would call you a 'chive turkey' but got tired so I'll leave now.

@TheBreadmonkey

You could tell her you're very very funny on the internet.

Pay me enough, and I'll vouch for you.

@TheBreadmonkey my eldest is 14 now, they will occasionally say: "You're actually pretty funny." And then they will go back to ignoring me

@TheBreadmonkey Some people don鈥檛 appreciate the classics. Sounds like you need a new audience.

@TheBreadmonkey That's dreadfully disrespectful of her.

She's not wrong though.

(Sorry, not sorry, etc etc)
