I am not a fan of #TikTok, but I vehemently oppose the @EUCommission dictating “design” to social media apps. This is silly!

@darnell @EUCommission it's an attempt to minimize dark, addictive patterns.
We all know, companies like Amazon, Mata, etc... have highly paid mathematicians, psychologists, ... which “optimize” the apps and UIs so users get addicted, spend more time etc...
They trigger subconscious Mechanisms which are even in our DNA, which not even the most educated people are immune against. Its pure perversion of the capitalism to get rich at the expense of others by such measures.
If these companies do not act ethical, one must force em!
