there are two camps in self-help: marcus aurelius says accept everything. tony robbins says optimize everything. i'd like to propose a third option: tag it Won't Fix and move on.

@Daojoan Hi, your site design is really cool and I like reading what you have to say, but please could you make the flashing cursor animation stop after a second or two, or maybe disable it if the prefers-reduced-motion setting is on? I thought the flashing would scroll off the top of the screen as I read but it stays sitting at the top of the viewport and it's really distracting. Thanks!
@Daojoan this is fucking brilliant
@Daojoan the "won't fix" is just the natural evolution of acceptance. In your example of being late, you accepted that you tend to be late and take responsibility to not inconvince other people.
Your idea of acceptance is of a wet wipe. An apathy to everything. An idea that you should stop caring about everything.
From my experience, acceptance is detachment from emotionally charged things; It's a capability to take any action regardless of emotional state.
