I was kinda leading a seminar with strict time limits for several speakers, and it was hard to keep track. I had a list of speakers and what time they should start and stop, but things happened, you know. Sometimes we where ahead sometimes behind schedule. Parts where shuffled around. I had to keep peoples start times in mind all the time and only checked against my PC clock w/o seconds.

I really wished for a clock tool with several buttons for "count down X/Y/Z min". Does this exist?

@tanketom Å, wow! Ja, det er jo helt perfekt! Tusen takk!

I was thinking something like Retro (by @sonny), only that the screen counts down how much time is left. And you can add as many custom buttons below the screen as you want, with however many min/sec that the different speakers can speak.

So that when someone who has been allotted 10 min goes on stage you click the 10 min button, and it starts counting down, and when the speaker who has 2 min start you hit the 2 min button, etc.

So many seminars in the world, surely this exists?

A clock app which is just a digital display screen showing the time, and some window control buttons

@forteller Yes, in many video production suites. My uni aula has something like this, controlled from a panel (a web thingy) where the technician sits. Shows how long the speaker has been talking, and also a countdown alongside it.

@forteller I *think* https://stagetimer.io/ (or at least something very similar) was what we used for EuroBSDcon, rigth, @EuroBSDCon ?

(search terms were "conference talk countdown timer", there are several others)

@pitrh @EuroBSDCon Thank you, that's really cool! Way more than I feel like I need, hehe, but still totally usable. Thanks!
