@shana@chaos.social @shana nope, you can in fact take followers with you if you do the "account move" stuff! it'll make everyone (glitches aside) unfollow the old account and then follow the new one instead https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/moving/#move

@shana @shana@chaos.social fwiw, if you didn’t know: there is a „move“ function that lets you port over your followers (and the accounts you follow yourself, you can ex- and then import)
