@irene I'm so sorry - all I can suggest is, come join us in European academia? (Which is certainly not perfect, but at least largely funded by taxes and not random asshole billionaires.)
@floe honestly I don’t feel comfortable often in European academia. There’s less diversity so I feel more isolated and a larger portion of the people that I’ve met are of the attitude that this is just the way things are and you need to deal with it.
@irene Agreed, unfortunately. Diversity-wise, it's bad, particularly in CS. 😞
