ProTip: When your ship in deep space stumbles across a cluster of alien ships of different designs and ages that appear to be derelict, it might be best to pass them by rather than entering them to explore, no matter how much you'd like to grab their tech.

This image is a four-panel comic strip presented in a grid layout. The art style is cartoony and uses bold black outlines with flat coloring.

Panel 1: Two figures in bulky, tan and green astronaut suits stand in a dimly lit, rocky environment. One astronaut, on the left, is looking towards the right. The other astronaut, on the right, is looking at an alien egg-like object. A speech bubble above the left astronaut says, "YOU GONNA LOOK INSIDE THAT EGG?". A speech bubble above the right astronaut, colored yellow, says, "FUCK NO". The egg is green and has a slightly lumpy texture.

Panel 2: The same two astronauts are now depicted dancing side-by-side in what appears to be a more open, though still dimly lit, space. They are both leaning into their dance moves, with arms raised. Above each astronaut's head are yellow musical notes, indicating they are listening to music and enjoying themselves.

Panel 3: A small, grey spaceship is shown launching upwards from a rocky surface. Flames and exhaust fumes are depicted trailing from its rear engines, creating a plume of dust and debris on the ground. The ship is angled upwards and to the left, suggesting rapid ascent.

Panel 4: This panel is entirely black with white text. It displays the words "DIRECTED BY" on the first line, followed by "RIDLEY SCOTT" on the second line, centered on the screen. This panel serves as a title card, referencing the director of the movie "Alien" and implying the comic's theme.

@cjust The actual reference is from the "Space: 1999" episode "Dragon's Domain" (1975-77), widely considered to be one of the best and definitely most terrifying and nightmare inducing episodes of the series. It's also often cited as a likely influence for "Alien".

@lauren @cjust The memory of seeing that episode for the first time, when I was around eight, is forever seared into my brain.

@davefischer @cjust Remarkably gruesome for TV of the era, that's for sure.
