I got my first roll of #Super8 film developed. But, since I filmed near where I live, I cannot share the footage online. Still, it's so cool! Focusing on the Yashica Super-600 is not easy though, especially with a moving subject.

I could not resist sharing at least a part... It was the first snow of this winter.
@Gargron That's so beautiful.
@Gargron Beautiful! It's making me want to dust off my old Beaulieu and find some film ❤️ .
@Gargron what is this black box at the left side of the image? I saw that recently on some youtube videos that were made to look old, but I don't really understand what that box represents
@DJGummikuh It's a sprocket hole in the film which allows a gear in the camera to latch onto the film and move it in front of the shutter as it opens and closes.
@Gargron oh wow INSIDE the visible area? I would have expected that to run outside of that frame, just like with photo films
@DJGummikuh Some light leaks around the film frame. This sort of scan is called an overscan, where the sides of the film are included.
@Gargron oh!! learn something new everyday!
@Gargron We all already know where you live bro. The giant gold Mastadon statue is a dead give away.
@benroyce 👋 Kodak's still there, still the king of film, no?
yes but it's a much smaller kingdom now 😅
@Gargron Oooh! Was this expired film or is there new production around? I gotta wonder how expensive the whole endeavour is in the modern age
