Had the guy I was speechwriting for ever slipped in something even *one tenth* as awful as that, I would have fired myself

I remember the closing lines of the NYT piece on the same subject:
At the end of the interview, [Benioff] turned to a public relations executive. He could be heard asking why her mouth was wide open and if he had said anything he shouldn’t have.

Then he hung up.
They really live in a different reality -- where all the tragedy they're causing is just part of some sports-event or something. Reality TV.
