@climbertobby I do like Syncthing a lot. I don't use it with anyone else, just across my own Mac laptop, Linux homelab, Android phone, and Chromebook (via Android).

No one else sees anything. If you share folders with other, you share only the specific folder you want to.

Yes, but my usecase would be a family NAS. Even if one doesn't have anything to hide from the other users, it would be handy to have minimal user management

But I guess I'll setup syncthing just for my logseq notes and keep using nextcloud for everything else

@climbertobby Yeah, it doesn't really have a concept of shared common storage. Just "sync this folder on my computer with a folder on their computer."

ok, but it's super sleak and works really nicely have it running on 3 devices (homeserver, laptop, tablet) and it works really nicely out of the box.

And I guess for multiple users one could just run it on different ports or something.
