syncing notes between android and Linux with anything self-hostet is absolutely frustrating.

if I understood the documentation correctly, with syncthing everyone using the server sees anyone's folders in the web interface

nextcloud simply doesn't do two way sync on android

davx5 let's you mount WebDAV but doesn't sync for offline use

@climbertobby I do like Syncthing a lot. I don't use it with anyone else, just across my own Mac laptop, Linux homelab, Android phone, and Chromebook (via Android).

No one else sees anything. If you share folders with other, you share only the specific folder you want to.

Yes, but my usecase would be a family NAS. Even if one doesn't have anything to hide from the other users, it would be handy to have minimal user management

But I guess I'll setup syncthing just for my logseq notes and keep using nextcloud for everything else

@climbertobby Yeah, it doesn't really have a concept of shared common storage. Just "sync this folder on my computer with a folder on their computer."
