Do people actually like watching American football or is it like something everyone thinks you’re supposed to like and they don’t wanna admit it’s boring as fuck

@danirabbit as someone who keeps up with 5 day cricket matches, i can tell you it's a sunk cost fallacy.. and the sweet dopamine boost of watching india beat england (and pakistan) in their own game, is all worth it..
@danirabbit Oh it can be fun enough to watch if you know what you're looking at. The slowness is an artifact of TV advertising and I have exactly no time for that shit.
@danirabbit For me, someone outside the US, the commercials are more interesting than the Super Bowl. The sport seems bureaucratic.
@danirabbit I have the same question about cricket.
@danirabbit I didn't like football until I learned more about it. The chess match between coaches. The extreme athletic performances. The crazy things that happen in the line between giant ballerina coordinated men.
Although I admit that i mostly like watching the online analysis of various plays more than the live games. So many commercials. It's ridiculous.
At least baseball fans will tell you honestly nobody likes watching it. They’re like, “Yeah you just kinda put it on in the background and check the score whenever”
@danirabbit Baseball is for going to the stadium with your friends and just kinda paying attention if you hear a hit. American football is like trying to watch an HD video on a 56k modem with a lot of jitter and lag.
