@acf UK has nukes and a real, if smaller, navy. Also, do we even have that much oil left? I thought we were importing more than we export these days?

@otfrom @acf It would literally start a war between two countries with nuclear weapons and comparable levels of conventional military technology and training. Also, NATO article 5. It would start world war three and everyone would die. That kind of decision is above Trump’s pay grade. If nothing else, imagine there’s lower risk targets they would go after first, and it doesn’t really mesh with the sphere of influence doctrine that seems to be the thing now.
