Saw lignite coal bricks/briquettes for indoor fireplaces today at the supermarket. More expensive per kWh heat than running a #heatpump with at least SCOP>2.5. I'm assuming 30ct/kWh here (my ⚡ price).
Why would anyone do this to their #IndoorAirQuality and their purse?!?
@gittaca indoor fireplace is often more about fire than heat or price. Similar reason why people don't always prefer cheap & healthy food: it's a matter of taste.
@nichtich In that case, I've grown out of that taste. Really enjoyed campfire BBQs back in my youth, but then learned about all its downsides 🤷
