thoughts and prayers for regime change here in the USA
thoughts and prayers for regime change here in the USA
We both know, Jeff, that what the USA needs is much more than "thoughts and prayers".
The problems will not even be addressed with "regime change".
For the USA to climb out of the sh*thole it has burrowed into, it's going to take, at the very least:
1. Political activism
2. Long-term investment in education
3. An unbiased media
4. A Judiciary that can hold the Legislative and Executive branches both criminally and civilly accountable
5. The Will of The People to change their future
etc... etc... etc...
The rest of the world is watching, in horror, as the USA self-destructs and crumbles into irrelevance.
Change is not impossible, but it is about as likely as one winning a lottery...
... without buying a ticket.
@TimePencil or, two countries. There's prior art here. I don't want it that way, but the couples counseling is not going well at the moment.
@codinghorror @TimePencil when India and Pakistan were partitioned closed to 1M people died in the violence, I don't think you want to even consider that. I hope sense prevails and a majority of people eventually see they've been taken along for a ride and taken advantage of.
Even a French revolution type event will have massive death toll. A gradual move to center or center left over the course of a few election cycles is probably the best bet.
@codinghorror @TimePencil I hate that the bad guys would get most of the good weather & be left to ruin more precious habitat with golf courses & mini-mansions but there are a lot of benefits to a divorce.
@codinghorror I hope it is sinking in that when oligarchs told you that they would coup whoever (sic) they want, while they absolutely meant Greenland, Venezuela, and Canada, their most important coup would be America First.
