One of the reasons I spend more time on Blacksky these days is because 1. there is way more diversity and sharing a wide variety of interests and 2. I don’t have to worry about some random fool begging me to prove racism exists.
The fedi still has a fundamental problem with making an environment that is attractive to people that aren’t white and into technology.
That has been one of the biggest obstacles to people viewing the fedi as a viable option for their social media presence

Yeah this is why my timeline here is so small. I kicked out so many of my follows when they were on the wrong side of "badspace transphobic". And a few waves of cleaning out my follows after that.
I did try to get a foot into bsky but kinda didn't get the hang of it somehow. But that's a me issue, having difficulties to find my bearings in a new to me space in general.
@ranja I hear you. I was on Bluesky for awhile, but was going to leave when they pivoted to being a friendly place for bigots.
Fortunately Blacksky came around so I could just leave but keep the lil community I built there.
