Pumping several hundred KB across a hypertext protocol to build a virtual DOM to display grey boxes which are then replaced very slowly by janky text, instead of using the actual lightning-quick DOM, is one of the stupidest fucking ideas in this century of stupid fucking ideas

@urlyman TBF this sounds like most commercial software projects as well 😃. But yeah, modern web is awful in so many ways and just getting worse each year.
