When it comes to artistic endeavors, I am forever jealous and proud of my wife.

She decided to learn 3D modelling last week.

Yesterday, she produced her first original injection molded toy.

Meet The Creature from Big Rock Creek.

He's inspired by Kappa, water spirits or monsters from Japanese folklore, and from the almost certainly facetious but persistently reported sightings of a creature emerging from one of the waterways near town.

He'll be available for sale for the first time this weekend at Assembly Required in Asheville, NC.

UV photography is hard!

A photo of a box illuminated from within by a UV flashlight. In the box are several plastic toys. Some of these toys are florecing somewhat brightly under the UV light.

The same scene as the last post, but now the UV light is off. Two of the toys are flowing brightly. The rest of the scene has stopped glowing.
