At this difficult moment for a progressive project in Rojava,
Comrades in Kyiv gathered to express words of solidarity with the liberation struggle of the Kurdish people.
We in Ukraine, like no one else, understand the tragedy of the Kurdish people,
which is in many ways similar to ours.
To emphasize this connection, we read the poem "To the Kurdish Brother" by Vasyl Symonenko.
We did not choose the place by chance, Dmytro "Leshy" Petrov was a participant in the revolution in Rojava
and died in 2023 in battles against the Russian imperial war machine.
