My talk at #EverythingOpen rated a mention in this week’s Crux newsletter from @daedalus
Pretty happy to appear under the “Good News” heading. It was about how we get more people working on open source tools.

Also the Windows 11 AI-removal script looks like it would be useful if your employer makes you use that OS.
And I do enjoy the regular snark about The Line’s unhinged emotional attachment to AI.

@emmadavidson @daedalus Some of us use Windows by choice. It's certainly not the worst thing in the world, particularly with relation to accessibility. Not once have I ever used Copilot.

@dandylover1 @daedalus I’m skeptical about operating systems that collect and share data on my work computer because some of that data needs to remain confidential for work related reasons. Hence the comment about employers making people use that OS, but the user wanting to turn off Copilot.
