spent the whole day dealing with my anxiety by reviving my 15 year-old Jekyll website that I took down in 2020 and rebuilding it using @11ty
it's very slowly getting there and I've got a ton of ideas for it in my broken brain but yeah, it looks like my personal website is making a comeback soon-ish

yeah in my case I'm just adapting old Jekyll layouts that are fairly complex but once I wrapped my head around some basic things (over way too many hours) I was able to make progress quickly
@nileane like, i'm sure 11ty works great for some people but i'm so far gone that it felt like how I feel when trying to do anything non-trivial with AppleScript or Shortcuts lmao
@nileane I’m using Astro but it’s because I felt I constantly tried to do things that 11ty wasn’t meant to do as opposed to Astro where I can just write typescript and JSX instead of dealing with a weird templating language lol

I spent some time evaluating my options to adapt my old website and 11ty seemed like the most straightforward option. (I briefly considered Hugo, too)
(but yeah so far just like you i'm mostly improvising by looking at the code of the getting started templates)
@nileane if that makes you feel any better: one of the reasons why I moved away from 11ty is that I found the docs extremely lacking and I spent more time just looking at the source code to understand wtf was happening than trying to find stuff in the docs lolsob
