A close up photograph of a Rainbow Leaf beetle. The beetle is perched on the edge of a dark green leaf with light green veins. The background is blurred, but appears as a solid color, the same hue as the veins of the leaf. The beetle's exoskeleton is astoundingly iridescent. Like anodized aluminum, or an oil slick on a shallow puddle of water. It seems more robot than insect. Truly a wonder.
