My trip started off with getting to spend most of the first day hanging out with @hongminhee and @2chanhaeng, and discussing how our various cultures differed and aligned. How our social upbringings brought us to where we are. And how the politics of inclusively and multiculturalism are at the center of many of the technologies we care about. Then randomly seeing this fediverse/peertube news on live French tv while eating shawarma at an Iranian shop really jumpstarted the experiance.

Later that night we all went to the activityPUB night that @swf set up
While at the bar I got to meet @django for the first time, whom I had interacted with for a long time in fedi context. We first interaracted years ago when they were looking for a name for their new fediverse post embedding @WordPress plugin and I had the suggestion of the name #FediEmbedi which ended up being used: https://mediaformat.org/fediembedi
Now they are working on pushing forward the ActivityPub C2S and we got to chat about that a bit.

While we were sitting there I noticed an @inventaire sticker on the table and @maxlath saw me pick it up and and introduced themselves. I had thought I saw something about #Inventaire stopping to use AP and said something of the sort and they were like "noooo I actively working on improving it!"
