@sumisu3 @Daanlo @carnage4life it’s not really like that at all. It’s akin to the iPhone or YouTube where people are gonna bring it in and use it no matter what you try to do to stop them. You can try; I guess. Good luck.

@carnage4life I think OpenAI is going to be a big winner in the medium to long term; it's the YouTube of this space, really
@codinghorror @carnage4life personally I think the only winner here is nvidia (they are the only company in that space making actual money)

IMHO most of the money in AI is likely going to be made in the entreprise segment. OpenAI has a consumer DNA.
@Daanlo @codinghorror @carnage4life agree on OpenAI consumer DNA - and it seems the only way to monetize that is advertising and selling consumer data. I rarely use ChatGPT because of the style and quality of the answers and have always been cautious as I fully expect the enshittification to come earliest with them.
Google and Anthropic are probably best positioned for enterprise. I guess you can’t count Microsoft out, but lots of companies I talk to try Copilot (because it is “free” in their enterprise license) though I think it is likely a major contributor to the oft-sited AI projects failing statistics.

@codinghorror @Daanlo @carnage4life that part is valid. Most people equate AI with ChatGPT and likely many don’t even know of another LLM. But what if instead of YouTube they are the Netscape of AI?
