Goddammit. Bought a #NAS drive to expand my SHR pool… didn’t realise the new drive has to be atleast equal to the smallest drive 🤦‍♂️
18TBs were out of stock, grabbed a 16TB, DSM says “no”.
New plan: put the 16TB in an external enclosure and use it for Hyper Backup of critical stuff (family photos/videos, home docs), kept air-gapped. Along with my Backblaze cloud backup, that gives me proper 3-2-1.
I’ll grab a bigger drive later to actually expand the pool…
