Yesterday I finished "reading" the audio book of the last of @cstross Laundry files (worth reading). Then I went digging and watched the two films referenced in it (The Abominable Dr Phibbs and Dr Phibbs Rises Again). I honestly don't know whether to curse or praise him for the "recommendation" or how I feel about the introduction of Dr Phibbs to the world of the Laundry.

@tautology Note that in the Laundryverse there are *three or more* Phibes films (and the first two are significantly different to the ones in our universe).
@cstross yeah, I actually wasted time (i.e. a quick Google) to find whether the third film was a Laundryverse thing and whether there was a Nyarlathotep link.
I do like the way you fit two cheesy early 70s comedy horror films as in-universe canon. Especially with the simple upgrade to a BlueTooth speaker for Dr Phibbs to speak.
